Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will be a key member of the Product Marketing team reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing.
  • Engage customers, prospects and internal stakeholders to define market needs, review product concepts and develop positioning.
  • Assess competitive opportunities and recommend differentiated product strategy.
  • Prioritize and create market requirement documents with business impact analyses to help drive product development strategy.
  • Liaise with Product Management during all stages of product development to ensure the smooth flow of information, materials and communication required for a successful product launch.
  • Clearly communicate marketing strategy to senior management and to the broader organization.
  • Analyze current and potential customer segments and purchasing habits to identify most effective opportunities for return on investment and revenue opportunities.
  • Assume responsibility for competitive analysis and training sales on proper positioning.
  • Collaborate on pricing strategy and execution plan.
  • Build reports from 2Wire management systems and business intelligence platforms associated to the specifications provided by senior management.
  • Interact with senior management in determining the specifications of needed reports and market analysis.
  • Interpret output and communicate the results to management for both primary, secondary and tertiary analysis.
  • Drive opportunities shown by the data to increase revenue and/or decrease costs.
  • This position may perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Have superior intellectual and quantitative analysis abilities.
  • Have a background in data analysis, market requirements documents, use case development, and competitive analysis.
  • Be effective working with product managers, business managers, business development, sales and other groups.
  • Have sufficient technical skill to manipulate data, communicate technology to customers and interface with the product teams, as well as to communicate our capabilities to end users, partners, and other audiences.
  • Must be an exceptional communicator – both inbound (listening and understanding market feedback) and outbound (written and spoken articulation those requirements through the organization).
  • Have a background in home networking and DSL technology or applications software background.
  • Comfort with and a desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Able to learn on one’s own and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to interface at all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, networking and interfacing with all levels of clients and industry leaders.


Education and Work Experience:
  • BS/MS in a quantitative degree or equivalent.
  • MBA desired but not required.
  • 5 to 8 years years of experience.
