Job Description & Responsibilities:

As the HR functional business partner, this position will serve as a consultative business partner to client group(s) on broad business issues, integrating functional expertise/experience, and company wide business objectives reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources. You'll be on the front line of helping and interacting with employees. You'll perform both hands-on and operational roles in providing human resources expertise in employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management, organizational development, training and more. This role will support the execution of business strategy via application of HR processes and tools. This position will serve as the primary contact for management on consultative HR support, including effectively managing teams/functions. Focus areas will include: strategic workforce assessment and talent planning; leadership and employee development strategies and programs; processes and programs; and employee relations and performance management counseling and problem-solving.
Responsibilities include:
  • Understand the dynamics of the business and functions and drive human resource practices and processes that will create an effective and high-performing organization.
  • Coach business leaders on employment issues and organizational effectiveness.
    Provide and establish initiatives to drive performance management, and development plans.
  • Provide management information, data analysis, metrics and tools that demonstrate progress toward achieving key milestones.
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
  • Conduct and manage investigation of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice.
  • Conduct gap analyses and collaborate with other HR team members and management to analyze complex situations.
  • This position may perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of legal implications of the employment relationship.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills along with negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees.
  • Proven background as an effective generalist and practitioner with a solid track record of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives.
  • Deep interest in data, analysis, trends, reporting and technology.
  • Versatility, flexibility and enthusiasm.

Education and Work Experience:
  • BA or BS Degree with a Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources with diversified experience in one or more disciplines.
