Job Description:
Dendreon’s Corporate Project Management department is accountable for the execution of enterprise-wide projects covering multiple business lines covering Product Development, Commercial Programs, and Business Integration (Systems). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects in the Business Integration (Systems) area, interfacing directly with Technology in the implementation and enhancement of a variety of enterprise applications.
General Summary:
Drives projects that oversee all aspects of large-scale application implementations that address real business needs as identified in the respective business cases.
Leads planning, coordination and execution of projects with a technology bias, with a clear focus on risk management and cross-functional stakeholder communication in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
Ensures that projects are well planned and organized, including business case development, impact assessment, charter, communication plans, and integrated project schedules.
Develops and monitors project financials, resource requirements, and risk profiles, monitors governance adherence, and support comprehensive reporting.
Participates in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts in project priorities, resourcing, schedule and scope.
Liaise with management at all levels of the business, managing their expectations for project delivery, escalating project issues, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership as appropriate.
Works closely with the Business Analysts and understand the translation from business requirements to technical requirements.
Initiates formal post-implementation project reviews, assessing lessons learned and benefits obtained, and indentify improvement opportunities for future projects.
Evaluates existing project management practices and recommend improvements to Dendreon’s project and program management practices.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent.
Typically a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience managing business and technology projects, with a minimum of 2 years in a dynamic and growing organization preferred.
Typically prior experience managing technology projects from a Functional or Business Analyst perspective is preferred over a technical development background.
Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device industries, or other related regulated environment is preferred.
