Senior IT Systems Developer - Oracle ERP

Job Description:

Dendreon is seeking a Sr. IT Systems Developer (Oracle ERP). This position will provide programming support for the Oracle eBusiness Suite ERP, as well as for interfaces from other systems to our Oracle ERP system. This individual will work closely with implementation consultants, system analysts, system administrators and functional teams to administer the applications and operating systems that enable the strategic goals of the business.

General Summary:
  • Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing.
  • Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs.
  • Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
  • Shares knowledge with other programmers, system administrators and business analysts.
  • Acts on user and functional requirements from business units.
  • Participates in project meetings, team discussions, and problem solving.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant policy and procedures.
  • Collaborates with analysts, software quality assurance, and system owners in the testing of new and/or updated Oracle ERP programs and applications.
  • Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
  • Supervises and provides direction for the application development team in support of business operations.


  • Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent.
  • Typically a minimum of 5 years Oracle development or related experience.
  • 2+ years experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience as developer with Oracle 10G database server.
  • Proven expertise developing interfaces with other systems to Oracle Applications 11.5.10.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Basic knowledge of .NET, XML, XSLT, ActiveX, C#, JavaScript, Flex or Action Script, NHibernate preferred.
